Features

Sophisticated. Modern. Unmatched.

OVERVIEW

Blues is a 63 Hylas like no other. From her upmarket European stainless steel hardware to her Lati Pudong custom cabin sole, the interior statement is clean and fresh.

On the exterior, Blues shows her Hylas pedigree, and distinguishes herself as a true bluewater passagemaker of unequaled capability. Strong and powerful, yet fast, and set up for a couple to handle with ease.

The owner’s mission was clear to all: a cruising yacht for a family of 4, easy for the parents to handle alone, swift, comfortable, and equipped with the best of everything. Storage, equipment, living areas, and outfitting all targeted for a cruising family. Blues exceeded all their goals

SALON

ACCOMODATIONS & OFFICE

The custom interior design work was headed up by Hotlab of Milan, Italy.

The yacht features integrated media systems for all video and audio. It has a salon TV on an electric lift to hide away when it is not in use – and give it great sight-lines when it is. This feature is one of many that gives Blues a superyacht feel.

Additional guest accommodations include two beautiful guest staterooms forward, plus an office midships.

The yacht features an office space originally designed as an on-board music studio, which provides a sound-reduced, distraction-free environment for anyone who needs to conduct business while aboard the yacht.

MASTER STATEROOM

Befitting a yacht of this size and caliber, the master stateroom is an oasis for the owner. Berth lifts for access to generous storage below.

En-suite head and shower with “rainshower” type showerhead along with a standard one. Custom mattresses provide unmatched comfort and relaxation.

SAILS & RIGGING

Blues features the perfect setup for a shorthanded passagemaker: a Park Avenue boom, 24v winches to handle the mainsail, Selden hydraulic furling for the staysail and headsail. The v-shaped, carbon fiber Park Avenue boom is the boom of choice for foolproof, jam-proof safety. Simple, elegant, and easy to handle by one person when necessary. The ease of handling does not compromise mainsail shape – meaning you have a powerful mainsail when you need it.

H63 Profile

ON DECK

Clean and easily maintained fiberglass non-skid decks were a must for the owner. However, in order to show off her graceful lines and add a touch of traditional elegance, a beautifully varnished teak toerail was specified, offsetting the stainless steel grabrails.

The cockpit is the envy of all – comfortable at anchor and thoroughly functional at sea.

GALLEY

An elegant and eminently practical galley for the cruising family. Light marble countertops are offset by fiddles of rich walnut. Extensive refrigeration and freezer capacity: 4 refrigeration boxes and 2 freezers.

For cooking, there is a Miele propane cooktop plus and Miele ceramic electric cooktop, in addition to the oven. Also included are a Broan trash compactor, a Bosch dishwasher, a Newport watermaker, a Miele washer/dryer, and much more.
